DAN O2 Provider – the ultimate test!

Gen (Expedition leader) & Dave (expedition staff), our newly qualified DAN Oxygen Delivery Instructors got the chance to put the Divemaster Interns of Pta Gruesa to the ultimate test today… The Blindfold O2 Assembly Challenge!

After watching the video and passing the written exam the interns were given various injured diver scenarios and asked to provide the appropriate level of O2 with the correct type of mask. Once competent at this they donned their blindfolds and fumbled their way through assembling the O2 kit from scratch. Although not compulsory for qualification it is a great way of assessing competence. With only a couple of people attaching the 1st stage upside down it went surprisingly smoothly!

Well done interns!!! Yet another qualification under your belts.
