Beach and Reef clean up at Mahahual


This past Saturday 20th of September Mahahual people carried out the traditional Reef and Beach Clean up promoted globally by PADI Project Aware and Ocean Conservancy.


As in past years, Global Vision International took part in it and together with other dive shops such as Dreamtime, Bucaneros del Caribe and BlueOcean Safari collected garbage from under the sea off the coast of Mahahual. Likewise, the Municipality of Othón P. Blanco and the University of Quintana Roo cleaned approximately 5 kilometers of mangroves and beaches.


The event was a big success and proved the Mexican say: "La Unión hace la fuerza".


Pez Maya, also did a beach clean and soon we will be posting a report on their thriving event!
