Aid for Pakistan
One of GVI's main objetives is to assist local Organizations and areas in disaster that are in need of economic help to raise funds through our Charitable Trust (CT). Through our webpage (www.gvi.org.uk) any person having participated or not in our expeditions and projects can help achieving the goals and making a difference by donating to their favorite project as it has been happening with the Water filter, Marine programme and Green Punta Allen projects in Mexico.
This time we would like make a special appeal to assist with funding and direct actions tp Pakistan:
Emergency Disaster Relief for Flood Victims
As Pakistan battles an unprecedented catastrophe, funds are desperately needed to help deliver food aid and medical services to stave off further loss of life due to disease and malnutrition.
The GVI Charitable Trust are supporting local organisations UM Healthcare and Shine Humanity who have a medical clinic close to a heavily devastated area and run outreach missions to remote communities that have received help. The project will deliver food, drinking water, provide medical services, while also support livelihood initiatives.
We would like to encourage past, present and future volunteers to either donate or perhaps organize an event in your community and encourage your families and friends to donate. We are doing it in Pez Maya, Punta Gruesa and Playa del Carmen!
