George: I’m
looking forward to the OHL Classic PGA Golf Tournament that is coming to Playa
del Carmen and that some of us are lucky enough to volunteer at. We are doing
this to help out the Equine Therapy Centre in the Health Care project. I’m excited
because it’s such a big tournament and I just happen to be in the right place
at the right time!
Gesa: I’ve
just finished my first week and will be finishing in the next. So in my short
time here, I am really looking forward to getting to know the kids at the
Ludoteca more.
Andi: In
the past few weeks, I have completed my horse riding lessons and have been able
to take the kids on by myself in the equine therapy sessions. I’m looking
forward to putting everything that I’ve learnt over the past 7 weeks into my
final ones. I have enjoyed learning and practicing the therapies in the school
and feel more and more comfortable performing them.
Jane: It’s
also my first week here and I will be here for a couple more. I’m looking
forward to improving my communication with the kids and getting to know them
better. Even though we can already connect with Spanish, I would really love to
get to know these kids better as time goes on.
Christie:
I’m looking forward to a busy last 1 and a half months. I really feel lucky
that I am able to stay to see the Turtle Festival in Tulum and Akumal,
celebrating Day of the Dead in Xcaret with the kids from the Ludotecas,
volunteering at the PGA Golf Tournament, and finally exploring the last few
places on my wish list.
