Last phase of 2008 ending

Another phase has successfully come to an end in the GVI Mexico corner. The last one from 2008 has been unusually full of exciting sightings of sharks, eagle rays, manatees, sea turtles and dolphins! Besides the bad weather that we had at times, EMs and staff manage to kept themselves busy if not teaching in the schools, involved in beach cleanings, helping in the turtle festival, attending cultural events, engaged in community development projects and certifying local fishermen as divers; and when the weather was nice the thrilling diving and monitoring activities were always a blast!

The general aims of the expeditions were accomplished in both bases, Pez Maya and Punta Gruesa, thanks to each one of you. Thank you very much for your time, effort and knowledge. Now, as little by little everyone is returning back home or continuing your travelling we say "hasta luego" wishing you all the best in all your personal incoming projects.
