In order to celebrate the world wide environment day, EMs and staff prepared activities for the children in the community of Punta Allen. After a brief explanation about why we celebrate this day, the children listened to a talk about marine turtles. We were very impressed to see how much the children already knew and they all wanted to participate, giving their own opinions and anecdotes. They were very enthusiastic after they saw
a video that showed the lifecycle of the turtles and why they are endangered species.
When they finished with the games that we prepared, some pictures were taken with a little mural where they could stick their heads through to become part of it. The children enjoyed pretending to be a diver and a fish. We were very pleased to see that they are still separating the rubbish as we taught them to do as part of our activities for Earth Day on 5th April.

Nice work GVI Pez Mayans. It's great to see the kids having fun and getting so into protecting the environment. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next!
