The Mayan Wilderness challenge has started!!

We have a say in Mexico "después de la tormenta viene la calma" something like calm comes after the storm. After Rina which became a storm last week we postponed the challenge for this week and even though it is still a bit rainy the 8 challengers are up to it and will enter Sian ka'an biosphere reserve today in order to spend the night in Pez maya.  We will start early tomorrow morning and hopefully will get to see many cool creatures in our way! 22 kms kayaking until Punta Lagartos, then 22 kilometers more to Punta allen where we will camp and visit the recycling center we are raising funds to and then come back cycling 55kms to Tulum passing though Pez Maya again, a protected land belonging to Amigos de Sian Ka'an to who we are also raising funds!
