Punta Gruesa Volleyball frenzy
Despite the weather causing a non diving day on base today, there was no end to the drama as the inter-hut Volleyball Tournament kicked off against the staff. The staff poured their blood, sweat and tears into their matches and provided much needed entertainment - through Tristan’s lightning shaped side burns and tribal cheering, Rhu’s backward shots into the palm trees and Rachel’s incredible serves. Unfortunately they were just no competition for Tiburon and Delfin who swiftly took the lead and battled it out to the end (even playing through a storm) to crown Dolphin the champions (causing many moody faces in Tiburon, the most competitive of the huts).
This evening we all congregated in the palapa with our blankets and beers to watch Trainspotting hidden from the rain to relax after the excitement of the day’s tournament.
