Farewell meals in summary!

Last few weeks have been full of farewells dinners and hasta luegos lunchs! Remember our thank you dinner to say good bye to four Scholars and three staff members that left base after finishing the expedition on the 11th of June?

Well last Friday was the turn for Sophie, Volunteer Regional Coordinator, that left Playa del Carmen after a nice lunch to go to Antigua, Guatemala, to join 4 staff members already there in our office hub in this neighbour Country. Sophie it was great having you around!

Likewise, Monique AKA Mo, will be leaving GVI this week to continue with an exciting two month trip through Central and South America before starting her Masters degree! She has been a very special member in GVI as she started as a volunteer 5 years ago and got to be base manager and expedition coordinator in Pez Maya, dive instructor in Playa del Carmen and office staff lately! A lunch/dinner will be happening this week to say hasta luego and it has been awesome to work with you!!

On another yummie note last Sunday we attended the Thank you and farewell dinner for the Dive Master Interns who started in Punta Gruesa in January and finished last Friday!

After all these farewells meals we better start doing welcome boat pushs and intro meeting exercises!
