Liberty comes to Punta Gruesa
It’s not only the staff, Em’s and various animals found around base that take on personalities and add to the atmosphere of the phases, but also the transport. The first year of Punta Gruesa hosted the Nissan and the Windstar, both ever faithful vehicles that are put to the test with the to-ing and fro-ing that becomes part of the expeditions. The Windstar was lost in the line of duty however, and to pick up the slack, the Jeep Liberty (Sport no less!) was acquired to replace her. She is nice and shiny, so is reserved for use only when necessary, leaving the donkey work to the Nissan. Already she has been through a lot, with a flat tyre and broken window courtesy of someone in Playa. But so far looks to be a valued member of the team (particularly as she has air con, electric windows and music!!!!!!)
