Over the past couple of months we have been
working on increasing the quality of the Jaguar project that GVI Mexico has in
partnership with El Eden Ecological Reserve. To make sure the volunteers have a
safe experience we decided to run a couple of GVI courses that most of our staff have
taken at some point. The GVI programme management and GVI OSSM H&S course!
After
translating all the presentations, Mexican country director and programme coordinator adventured into delivering this course in
Spanish for the first time, "it was quite weird but nice to do it on our own language" they stated.
The H&S fun did not stop here! One of
our instructors from base, Maura, came to deliver the EFR course to them, it
was quite a challenging experience to deliver a course in Spanish but thanks to
Cynthia’s translation and Maura’s bit of Spanish they made it!
We have received the first volunteer of this
season and we are looking forward to hear how they put into practice all the
training that they received.

Health and safety fun with El Eden partners in Mexico!
