Punta Gruesa in pictures! April-June 2011
A very succesful phase for Punta Gruesa too! A big thank you to all volunteers and staff that made it happen. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm, great attitude, insight and hard work. All the sites were monitored which is of great use for our local partners Amigos de Sian Ka'an. We accouted:
- 65 monitoring boats
- 183 training boats
- 45 benthic transects - equivalent to 1.35km of reef
- 973 coral colonies monitored
- 72 fish transects - equivalent to 2.16km of reef
- 2359 fish identified and monitored
- 845 tanks used
- 298 colonies monitored for Coral Watch
- 3 Seagrass transects
- 1500kg of fruit and veg
- 100kg of porridge
- Completed the most fish and coral transect this phase since phase 101!
