Update hurricane Ernesto

Hello,


Just to inform you that the hurricane Ernesto, category 1, hit last night the south of Quintana Roo state, and now has passed. There were some strong winds and rain but nothing to worry about. At the moment it is reported some fallen trees and no electricity in the Mahahual and Xcalak area. The volunteers and staff from Pez Maya stayed in a hotel and will be staying there an extra day until the strong winds stop, El Eden jaguar conservation and bird monitoring project staff and volunteer are also safe and fine.
