3rd Green Expo Tulum

Due to its wonderful beaches, cenotes and pyramids Tulum is very well known as an Eco destiny and also as an Eco-friendly town for its various Eco type hotels along its coast. In the last years Tulum has grown and has been developing very fast; however, a lot of its citizens are very keen to keep this development in a sustainable way. Hence, there have been launched many initiatives that point towards this way. One of them is the Green expo, which has been organized for the third time on the 8th and 9th of April and every time is getting bigger with more sponsors and people involve.

The expo (www.greenexpotulum.com) aims to gather green or eco friendly providers in order to promote and sell their products among the tourists and citizens in the Riviera Maya so that more people use renewable energies, build houses in a more sustainable way, use less water, consume healthy and local products, etc.

As usual GVI supports this type of events and this time it wasn’t the exception. Volunteers and staff from Pez maya helped in the logistics and attended the talks that were given by local people from different Governmental and Non governmental organizations. As such Jaen, Pez Maya staff, gave a talk on a new project called “Punta Allen Green” which promises to be a very big venture! Keep reading our blog to know more about it!

The event was a success and we would like to congratulate the organizers and participants that made it happen. We will for sure continue supporting this type of events!
